TEAS 7 difficulty
Is the TEAS 7 Hard?
The content is not advanced; the conditions are. Almost everything on the TEAS is secondary-school material. What makes it hard is answering 170 questions in 209 minutes across four subjects, with Science carrying the most weight and the least forgiving recall demands.

What actually makes it hard
The pace
English allows about 60 seconds a question and Reading about 73. Students who know the material still lose marks because they have never practised at that speed.
The breadth
Four subjects in one sitting. Most people are strong in two and rusty in the others, and it is the rusty ones that decide the score.
Science recall
Science is the largest scored section at 44 items, and 18 of those are anatomy and physiology. It rewards memory more than reasoning, which suits some students and punishes others.
Time since school
If you last studied chemistry a decade ago, the difficulty is not the questions. It is rebuilding a foundation while working or studying full time.
Can I pass without studying?
Unlikely, and it is a costly way to find out. Even strong candidates lose marks to pace and to the parts of Science they have not touched since school. Programmes limit retakes and charge for each attempt, so the cheapest approach is to sit one timed set first and let the result tell you how much work is needed.
Is failing the first attempt common?
Common enough that it should not be treated as a verdict on whether you belong in nursing. What matters is what you do next: work from the section breakdown on your score report rather than starting your revision over from the beginning, and check your programme's retake rules before rebooking.
What makes it easier
Diagnosing before studying, practising against a clock rather than untimed, and reading the rationale on every question including the ones you answered correctly. None of those takes extra hours. They change what the hours are spent on.
