Roughly eight weeks suits most TEAS candidates and six weeks most HESI candidates, at eight to ten hours a week. The consistent advice is to sit a timed diagnostic before revising anything, because it identifies which areas are actually weak rather than which feel weak. **What is the single most useful study habit?** Reading the rationale on every question, including the ones answered correctly. A lucky guess and real understanding look identical on a score report and different in a rationale. **Should someone revise by subject in order?** Not for a comprehensive exam. Mixed practice across subjects, weighted towards the weakest areas, retains better and matches how the exam presents material. ### Exam-specific guidance **What score does someone need on the TEAS?** There is no national pass mark. ATI reports the score; each nursing programme sets its own minimum, and many set minimums per section.
